Fiction Writing

Here is a short story written as part of a short-story cycle, meaning that while the three stories I wrote as part of this cycle are somehow intertwined and connected, reading them all in a particular order is not necessary for readers to understand or enjoy the story itself. The short story has its own plot, setting, and characters as well as a firm stopping point which allows readers to step in and out of the story once concluded. Within the fiction genre, the story is loosely set in the modern era. The title of my collection is The Lies We Tell Ourselves and “Mismatched Signals” is the title of this piece.
